Guitar Learning Basics: Reading the Guitar Tab
Learning how to read the guitar tab will increase the speed of learning how to play the guitar as well as teach the beginner student how to read notations.
To learn how to play an A Minor Scale using the guitar tab: in first position, the first finger will play the notes on the first fret, the second finger on the second fret the third on the third fret and of course, the fourth on the fourth fret. As per the guidelines in jamorama review, remember that the finger used should correspond to the fret your fingers are on when playing the first position.
Shifting the hand so that the first finger now plays the notes on the second fret, the second finger on the third fret, the third finger on the fourth fret will turn the first position to the second position. It is important to remember that the position on the guitar always follows the first finger. Continue to walk the fret board while shifting positions.
